The purpose of the Drama curriculum is to enrich the spiritual, moral, social, cultural and emotional development of all learners. Through the exploration of a wide range of drama practitioners, play texts, styles and performance techniques learners develop the skills of communication, self confidence, enquiry, empathy, collaboration, leadership and negotiation. The aim is to encourage pupils passion, enthusiasm, involvement and individual creativity, thus developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied in all areas of learning.
Recognition and Rewards:
Learning is celebrated in Drama in a range of ways. We showcase students work via our twitter and instagram accounts. We have Actor of the Week reward certificates, recognition board displays and students are encouraged to earn achievement points through the school reward system.
